Glass Bottle Slide
This is my favorite lap slide. The entire length of the bottle is one width (no taper) except for the tiny neck which isn't even noticeable when you're holding it. That and the square shoulders make this a perfect lap steel slide. The size and weight make this super comfortable. The slide area of the bottle is 3 1/4 inches wide, over all it's 3 5/8 inches long. It's about 1 inch in diameter.

Short Glass Bottle Slide
Got less than 6 strings and want a shorter slide? Personally, I like the full size one even if I'm just playing 3 strings. But if you want a shorter one, here it is. This one is about 2 inches long in the slide area (3 inches overall) and 1 3/16 inches in diameter.

Short Black Glass Bottle Slide (NEW)
Got less than 6 strings and want a shorter slide? I just ran across these and they're pretty sweet. I'm pretty taken with the black glass. They're a little shorter than the clear glass short slides, but they're just about perfect for a 3 or 4 string guitar. The square shoulders and smaller diameter make them more comfortable to play with. This one is about 1 3/4 inches long in the slide area (2 5/16 inches overall) and 1 inch in diameter.

Glass Wine Bottle Finger Slide
This is as old school as it gets, and my most popular slide. (It's also my only finger slide) It's cut from a thick wine bottle neck. You get at least 2 inches of playable area. Diameter depends on the bottle, but usually around 1 inch.
